U- Pick Flower Experience

Our Flower U- Pick Experience is here! Come and immerse yourself in flowers and nature for part of July and August. We will be open every Friday starting July.28 and will continue until weather permits.

You will be provided with clippers and a pitcher to collect your flowers in the garden. Once you are satisfied, you can transfer your flowers into a bucket or vase you brought along with you or you are welcome to purchase a mason jar from us for an additional cost.

You MUST Book an appointment in order to take part in the U-Pick, if you arrive without an appointment you may be turned away as we have limited numbers. You also can only be in the garden during the scheduled time which is 90minutes.

New This Year! We are offering Kiddy Cups for a discounted price of $15. This will only be offered to any child that is accompanying their parent who has paid for a regular U Pick session. The child will be able to take part in cutting with their parent and bring home their creation in a complimentary cup.

Cost

$30 per person plus taxes to be paid upon arrival. (We accept cash, etransfer or credit/debit)

$5 deposit per person paid at time of booking (Non refundable)

$10 plus taxes for anyone wanting to come but not cut any flowers unless you are bringing your child who is 12 and under. In this case they may accompany you for free. The snippers are very sharp so we do not recommend children using the snippers. Parents should do this part if you would like your child to be involved in the process. You do not have to pre book your child either if you want to purchase a Kiddy Cup for them. You can choose to do this when you arrive for your scheduled U- Pick.

What to Bring

Please dress accordingly, if it is rainy or rained the day before you should bring proper rubber boots and rain gear. You can also bring gloves, your own clippers if you like.

Bring your own container such as a bucket or vase to bring you flowers home with you. We will have mason jars to purchase if you do not. Flowers are best staying hydrated after they are picked so it’s ideal to bring them home immersed in water.

You may want a change of shoes, you will be walking in a garden so there is lots of dirt!

Accessibility

We are not easily accessible to anyone in a wheel chair or stroller. We have gravel roads and the garden paths are narrow which won’t fit strollers or wheelchairs. The garden ground may also be very uneven so it’s not recommended. Sorry! We hope to be more accessible in the future.

Safety and Supervision of Children

We have a pond close to the garden so all children must be within arms length of an adult at all times. We also do not allow children you use the clippers, they are sharp and pointy so can be dangerous. Some flowers can also be toxic if ingested and can cause a rash if touched. So keep a close eye on your child.

Pets

Pets are not allowed on the farm during our u-pick sessions.

Cancellations and Refunds

The Booking Fee of $5 is non refundable. If you are would like to reschedule your time you are welcome to do so at no additional fee or you can also have someone else come in your place.

Our U-Pick will run rain or shine unless there is severe weather. We will then cancel and refund you your deposit if another time doesn’t work for you to reschedule.

Liability

Charlie May Farm in not held liable for any injuries, damages, and/or loss of personal property that may occur during your visit here.
