The La Barriere Park Bridge is open! You can access our farm from any direction now
Farm Tour and U-Pick Facts
Our Location
We are located at 4310 Waverley Street, La Barriere, Manitoba. (Depending on the maps you use it may also be called Waverley Road. We are on the same street as La Barriere Park situated just north of the park. You will see a large sign with our name “Charlie May Farm” so you shouldn’t miss it. La Barriere Park is just south west of St. Norbert about 5km from the perimeter.
IMPORTANT: The La Barriere Park Bridge goes under water every spring and can be under for several weeks. If you are driving here from the south of us (La Salle, St. Adolphe, etc.) make sure to double check if the bridge is under water, if so you must go around to the perimeter or St. Norbert to get to us.
Where to Park
For all farm tours please park along the main driveway when you first turn off the main road and walk in so you can easily get in and out when you need to leave. Someone will be at the gates to greet you.
How long is a tour?
If you booked a tour, it will take about 1/2 hour to 1 hour, We will take you on a walk to see the cut flower garden, kitchen gardens, greenhouse and farm truck. You will be able to snap photos while on the tour as much as you want and ask us any questions about our farm.
Can I pick flowers?
You will also have the opportunity to do a u-pick flower experience at the end of the tour if you would like for an extra fee. If the flowers are ready for picking, there will be an opportunity to pick. (For tours taking place middle of July-August) It will cost $30.00 (minus the $5 if you prebooked a spot.) It is recommended to bring a bucket so we can put the flowers in water for your trip home to keep them well hydrated. I have a limited number of people that can pick flowers at once so if you are planning to cut I would recommend prebooking a spot(s) for the u-pick.
What to Bring or Wear
Please dress accordingly. If it rained the day before the gardens may be wet which could mean they are muddy. Rubber boots would be a good idea in this case.
Rubber Boots or change of shoes
Gloves if concerned about skin irritations.
Bug Spray and sunscreen
Water Bottles to stay hydrated
Your Camera!
If you are taking part in the U-Pick bring a vase to transfer your flowers and arrange on site if you like or you can purchase one at the farm. We will have Mason Jars and hopefully some plastic cups available to purchase for transferring your flowers.

Accessibility
We are on a farm with uneven surfaces so we are not wheel chair accessible. The flowers garden rows are too narrow for strollers or wheelchairs as well. So please leave strollers and wheelchairs out of the flower garden.
